Children's Liturgy

St Theresa's Room
St Therese's Room

Every other week at the 10am Sunday Mass, we offer a Children's Liturgy. This is designed for younger children from approximately two to eight years of age, but any ages are welcome.

The purpose of the Children's Liturgy is to present the message of the week's gospel to the children in a form they can understand using simple stories, examples from home and play activities, such as colouring in or making paper objects, linked to the central message. Children are also encouraged to learn the simpler prayers such as the Our Father and Hail Mary and to cross themselves properly.

The Children's Liturgy takes place in St Therese's room which is separated from the main congregation simply by glass walls and so the children can feel that they are still part of the mass although their noise will not disturb the readings, gospel and homily being conducted next door.

Parents are welcome to join in, either just to accompany their own children or to help supervise the group as a whole.
